Monarch Academy of Dance believes everyone should have the opportunity to dance and is committed to working with our families to ensure that programming is accessible. Adaptive Dance provides transformative classes to children ages 4-10 with disabilities.

Classes Offered
Adaptive Dance 1
Ages 4-6
Monarch proudly offers inclusive classes for individuals of all abilities and needs- modifying dance instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, and hands-on practice and experience in the studio.
We have partnered with Miss Kristin Catalano, a former ballerina who carries a very special certification in the Boston Ballet's Adaptive Dance Teacher Training Program. After having a beautiful daughter with Down syndrome, Miss Kristin developed a passion for instilling the love of dance in children with special needs.
Movement and music are explored creatively through a proven curriculum using props and visual social stories. No uniform is required for this class. Students may wear what feels most comfortable and allows freedom of movement. Dance is a universal language accessible to all who wish to engage at Monarch! A Routine is developed for the Academy School Performance.
*Intake interview is required upon registration to ensure our program will meet the needs of your child.
Adaptive Dance 2
Ages 7-13
Movement and music are further explored creatively through a proven curriculum using props and visual social stories. No uniform is required for this class. Students may wear what feels most comfortable and allows freedom of movement. Dance is a universal language accessible to all who wish to engage at Monarch! A Routine is developed for the Academy School Performance.
